I was looking through my immense collection of Battletech stuff the other day and I felt sad that I never get to use it any more. I used to spend hours thinking of missions and fighting huge battles. We used to have BT parties where we'd spend the whole day playing the game.

I for one miss those good old days. Are our lives so busy now that we can't get together and enjoy the company of our friends? I guess this goes beyond battletech, but I guess what I'm getting at is the ability to immerse yourself in a world other than our own, really get into it, you know? I think I've been missing that for the past couple of years.

I have a legacy of books, and a small set of 3rd edition plastic minis. I haven't played in years. I wouldn't mind starting from the beginning either, like using the training scenarios to get me started again. Let's say a Locust IIC went up against a level 12 Paladin from D&D... I'm putting my bets on the Locust. The Paladin can only heal once per day, not enough to recover from multiple searing laser blasts.

I play with a local group on monday's when I can.. but lately haven't had the time.. but I am working on a website for scenario's.. still working on the layout & time frame of the games.. but will let you know when its up & running..

MechWar III question

OK, I'm hoping that I'm in the right spot for this question.

I was a big fan of MW2 on my older computers. I recieved a MechWarrior3 burn and have only lately been toying around with it -- yeah, I know it's out of date, but it's what I've got.

I know this may sound stupid, but here's the thing... I've started a campaign -- land in the water, destory the 2 tanks, destory the 2 turets, the bridge explodes, destory the light mech, destory the other 2 turets, destory the communications dish, meet up at the last check point with the mobile field bases.

I accomplish everything and hit Ctrl+Q. From there I'm shown damage, earnings, and told what my salvage is. I am given the "Exit to main menue" and "Replay" options to click on. There seems to be no way to gather salvage, and nothing else to click on. Even though this first campaign is successful (as per the message at the top of the screen), I never seem to be allowed, or can find anywhere to do anything to continue on to the next mission w/in the campaign.

Ideas, assistance, simple solutions, game version update? Please post here, or better yet, message me directly.

Kleen once gave an awesome mech to his girlfriend and gave my charector... the MECHWARRIOR.... a shitty mech. His girlfriends charector was some yakuza non-mechwarrior.
