I totally feel your pain. I can't seem to find ANYONE to hold just a simple session with, just to keep my feet wet, ya know? And I'm so slow at the game myself, but that's because I never get any practice on it. Can't say I've ever been to a BT party... I would just for once check that out...

I've even wanted to have a player group, where we each run factions, own planets, or companies, and manage assets, armies, and could only have the amount of units that our resources allowed, instead of throwing out every single mini you had, and trading the unit specs within the group... not meaning to trade the minis, hell no!

Unless everyone can get along and respect each other's property... Of course, losing your minis is pretty much gambling, isn't it? People get sore feelings over gambling loss... keep the minis, but keep swapping around the record sheets. And repair whatever's necessary... I always wanted to have a rags to riches campaign, with the MW RPG, so someone can decide to become an academic, and become a warrior, or a researcher, or just have a knack for business, and found a research company, or a mech manufacturer, or a gang org. Well, that's my rant along with 2 cents (and then some).
